We have been providing personal care and effective results in our private clinic for the past 29 years. Through the clinical successes, we have been able to grow our practice that includes aquatic therapy in our own custom-designed pool. Services in this area include aquatic exercise, balance training, rehab after knee/hip joint replacement – and more!

We have been very active in our community and in the professional association attempting to guide the practice of physical therapy for the benefit of our clients. Most of our physical therapists are able to practice without a physician referral but still maintain professional communication with area physicians – teamwork remains the key to successful treatment. Our faith and drive for clinical excellence combine to provide high quality personal care in a friendly relaxed atmosphere.

We have also linked our services with the programs of WorkSteps to offer work injury prevention, employment testing, and functional capacity testing. These programs offer the employer the ability to reduce injury rates and lower premiums while protecting the safety of their employees.

We have been blessed by the patients and physicians who have placed their trust in our gifts to provide clinical excellence in the areas of orthopedic, cardiovascular, aquatic therapy, and balance rehabilitation.

Lycoming Physical Therapy – The Story

While sitting in class my last year of physical therapy school, I felt a little voice inside telling me that we were being groomed for private practice. As I gained experience in various settings (orthopedics, work-related injuries, sports injuries, wound care, home health, etc.) I felt the need to expand and branch out. I managed a satellite center for The Williamsport Hospital which gave me a taste of private practice – what a thrill!! I then became the Chief Physical Therapist at Muncy Valley Hospital for a year – the frustrations grew. Finally, Patti and I answered that little voice inside and investigated the possibilities of opening a private practice. After months of prayer and discussion with family, friends, and business people, we took a huge leap of faith – literally! We opened Lycoming Physical Therapy in June of 1993.

Since that time we have been tremendously blessed with a dynamic and friendly staff that takes a genuine interest in our most valued asset – our patients. We work hard to provide the best physical therapy care possible. Our staff often researches new techniques and skills to complement the annual continuing education courses we attend. Communication also plays a critical role in your care – communication with physicians, employers, coaches, etc. occurs regularly. This keeps all parties informed and allows proper efficient treatment to occur. We also strive to keep abreast of insurance regulations and trends – another often overlooked portion of your care.
